The purpose of the Credit file:
Whilst some transcribers, checkers and validators choose to remain anonymous, and would prefer that their contribution is not attributed to them, others appreciate recognition. For this purpose, the Credit file exists
Credit files are loaded into the County upload area, and are named ctyyyyy.DAT where cty is the Chapman Code, and yyyy is the year.
N.B. The credit file is NOT the same as the PARMS file, and PARMS files must never be uploaded to the upload area.
Construction of a Credit file:
A template Credit file will be created automatically in the upload area. This file can be downloaded, edited using notepad, and re-uploaded at will.

The first line is the header, showing Year (1841), Country (SCT), and County (CAI)
There then follows a line for each piece (or sub-piece for Scottish pieces), consisting of;
Status Codes:
Status codes, if you choose to use them, display information about the status of a piece in your county coverage page. When a piece is actually on-line, the status given in the credit file is ignored, and "On-line" is shown instead.
