FreeCEN CENSDUPL

Work validated using versions of VALDREV earlier than v1.2.4 may have been subjected to a programme fault which could cause Duplication of some records and over-writing of others in the Validated file.

CENSDUPL is a DOS-based routine which will detect and report any such faults so that they may be corrected during Post-Validation.

Install

Note that the Validated .VLD file to be tested must be copied into the same folder.

Simple instructions are provided on-screen, and a small demonstration file is provided for "Tutorial" purposes.
A printable report is produced listing any instances where records appear to have been duplicated. The duplicated/over-written records may be amended after reference to the fiche/film/CD images.
Note that consecutive unoccupied premises can be reported even if this is not a defect. Always check carefully for "missing" (over-written) records.
